I just finished putting on my CT and taking a test ride. I like it. :yep: It is going to take a little while to get use to it, but it won't take long. I am riding at 36 psi right now as that is what the installer left it at, (per my request) and I can tell I will need to air it down a little. All that new traction in the rear really lets me know how bad my front tire is right now. That will be done next day off. One thing that I will have to get use to is that when this tire goes over certain road cracks, it sounds like my old tire when it went flat. (has happened twice) It also picks up rocks and then throws them into the fender.

Sounds like you are satisfied.

:yep: Very satisfied. I live in a trailer park and have to drive on dirt everyday. When the first rock hit the inside of the fender pulling out onto the paved highway, it scared the crap out of me. After a couple of wig wags in the lane the other two or three came out, but this time I was ready for it.

Just remember that next time you are tempted to tailgate a cage. :ohno:

BTW, watch your back side. Other people aren't used to motorcycles stopping that fast.

I had something similar happen about 22 years ago. I had a lifted Chevy K10 at the time...I came to a light and a Grand Am was in front of me. The light turned green and they guy just sat there. I honked and he flipped me the bird, so I went into the right lane and sped up. They guy tried to run me off the road. Foolish little man. I sped up and changed into his lane, put both feet on the brake and applied. The K10 had zero damage, but his hood was peeled back to the windshield and the engine was damaged enough he couldn't start it. A witness, who was a lawyer, said it was the other guy's fault when the state trooper came. I doubt he tried to run anyone off the road again.

It looks like Robert Loggia was ready for one.

I reset the speedohealer today and the transformation is complete. With the new tire and the speedohealer in transparent mode the speedometer read 68 at 60 mph actual. I usually don't go over 55, but it calibrates best at 60. Having the smaller tire has made the bike a bit quicker. At least as a seat of the pants meter would indicate. Thanks again to everyone who gave me info on going to the DARKSIDE. Including everyone that helped and did not know it when I was lurking.
