I didn't want a stereo..instead I wanted to know what the engine was not doing by having a complete set of gauges. These are Faria gauges designed for marine use. They are vibration and water proof which I thought was a good thing for motorcyles. I made up the dash plate and upper dashplate out of aluminum. The top plate is polished and the lower is brushed with a 1/4" polished trim. I have to head back to camp tomorrow for a week and when I return I plan on mounting the dash to the fairing. Just something different...Bdog

bdog,
That looks great! You may have to go into business manufacturing those. If I recall from previous posts, you're a machinist by trade, aren't you?

Looking forward to seeing you at the rally and checking out your Nomad and all the mods that you've done to it.

That looks awesome, great job. One thing you might want to consider, even with the face having a brushed finish is what kind of glare / reflection you might get off it when the sun is at the right angle. Might not be bad at all, I don't know, but could end up having to paint or powdercoat it if it is a issue. Either way, it looks great.

Yup..that could be a big issue, thats why I went brushed instead of polished. If it is a problem..then I'll go to plan B.

Really nice but I'm also concerned about glare. Keep Plan B close by.

That is dead sexy. THe glare may be a bit much. It's bad enough off my inner fairing and it's just painted and buffed.
