Which is why you don't mount a trunk on a luggage rack. You need a purpose-built mount, like a Wompus rack.

And a HD TourPak. There are a few out there that are decent quality but honestly, nobody makes one like HD. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

They are the best for loading stuff in, if you go that route get one from an Ultra Classic, they have the tailights and sidelights built into them.

Thanks for the pm I have just looked at it and the link.
Very usefull I think I can make something very similar when I get the pack.
sorry I cannot send a picture of the pack from the link I am not that good on the computor yet but I can from my camera so when I fit it I will send a photo.
I think the manufacturer is a firm called ride.
Thanks for all the advice God knows how long it would have taken me to sort this problem out.

To copy and paste, click on a website header, for example,

http://www.vulcanbagger.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25821&page=2

It will turn blue. Press the ctrl key on the keyboard then press C.
The website address is now held in memory.
When you want to put that somewhere in an email press ctrl and then V. The website address is then put where your cursor is. Try it.

The seller has 100% positive feedback so the seller is not the problem.
The top box may be a little on the flimsy side and it opens in the direction of the passenger seat.
That being said, I had a smaller version of this box on my 650 Yamaha back in the day and it held up real well.

It's a Mutazu. I had one on my Nomad for awhile and after a couple of months the latch broke, I ordered a replacement from the seller for $25. The box is made of ABS plastic, the hinges are plastic. The backrest feels like it's stuffed with cardboard. They are a lot smaller than say, a HD Tourpak. I got rid of mine and went with a larger, HD tourpak clone because I wanted more storage space. I had about $1000 into the trunk on my 2007 Nomad, including the tourpak, backrest, Wompus rack, and paint.

Personally, I don't care for the looks of the Mutazu. There's a reason they sell for a lot less than an HD or Premeux tourpak. You get what you pay for. If you want an inexpensive plastic box to haul your spare gloves and sunglasses, then by all means go for it.

For a little more than a mutazu he could get a givi and it would be QD. I know he doesn't like how it opens, but how many of us open the trunk with someone on the bike? I never have.

Givi trunks look odd on big bikes like the Nomad, in my opinion. They look like they belong on dual-sport/adventure bikes, even scooters, but not on a large cruiser.

I stumbled across a website a while ago were it stated that if you purchased a quantity of 100 of those trunks the price was about $10.00 each out of China. I guess thats how some of the Ebay sellers and other vendors order them.
