Just got my new Voyager, and I notice the temp running around 3/4 of the gauge. Seems kinda warm to me... what does your temp run on your voyager?

Mine reads the same, which isn't in itself bad, but it seemed to run much cooler once I punched out the baffles and cat material to free up the exhaust flow. :0)

Mine never gets to 3/4. It stays at 1/2 most all the time but will get to just above the 1/2 mark on a really hot south Florida day.

Have you done any mods to the bike to make it run cooler ie different exhaust or added a fuel processor ?
My 2010 Voyager will go up to the 3/4 mark in traffic.

No Mods as of yet.. I just got it last Tuesday. I have about 50 miles on her.

You modified the exhaust or you put on new pipes? She was running just past the last white mark before the red. Read the owners manual and checked the coolant in the res. and it was very low. Added coolant and now I'm between 1/2 and 3/4 on the gauge.

If it is new, it might come down a bit once broken in. If it's already broken in, just enjoy it!

My 2010 Stock Voyager with over 24,000 miles on the odometer.

When running down the back roads in the summer it usually stays at the tick mark at 12:00. If I stop in traffic it will move to the next tick mark and the fan will soon come on. This time of year it stays at least one tick mark below 12:00.

If your's is running hotter than that I would recommend flushing the system and putting in engine ice to see if that makes a difference. Could be that the system was not burped correctly when new.

Yeah probably not prep'd right. Considering it was way low when I got the bike. Like I said... I top her off and now she is running between 1/2 and 3/4 on the gauge.

Well, I added a Oil Tempstick so I could also watch the temperature of the oil directly.

It looks nice and is accurate and got it for about 75 bucks at:
