Anyone use these? There supposed to be good for 10 years, so just leave them in when changing tires.

They look the same as the ones from Kurvey Girl.

Also she is selling them on ebay with free shipping.
I seem to keep changing tires and not the valve stems, I know thats not good. I just put on my second replacement back tire and will put on the first replacement front tire soon. The back metal angled valve stem looks pretty solid, but the front one looks like the cheap rubber slip in plug.
Everyone else changes their valve stems with every tire change, right!

I have only had tires changed once and the original valve stems still look good. Those look pretty good but $32?

On the 1600s, the metal 90* valve stems will last for a good while. My bike is nearly 7 years old, and I replaced my front valve stem a few months ago when I replaced my front tire, not because it was bad, but because I found some that were chrome . I bought 2, and if/when my rear tire wears out, I'll replace that stem with the other one. Here's a link to them..........

I check the stem when I change tires, but rarely change it. I still have the oem stems on my bike.
Theres no way Id spend that kind of cash on a tire valve.
I might bite on them for a dirt bike where it is normal for the valve stem to take abuse, but overkill for our cruisers. Probably easy enough to change the O ring or what ever seals our S/S steel stems to the rim and you should be good to go for a number of years.

I have always just checked mine to see if the rubber still looks good, but I seen in the manual that they say to always change them when changing tires.
With my dirt bike and all the other dirt bikes, they use tubes so the valve stem is part of the tube. I do change the tubes after a couple tires and I never tighten the locknut on the tube valve stem so it can flex if needed, and if the tire slips in the rim locks it won't rip off the valve stem that way, a lot less pressure in dirt bike tires, 8-15 psi. Anyways its a whole different ball game.
I know when I get new car tires they always change the valve stems, but they use the really cheap slip in rubber ones, less then $1 a piece.
I guess I'm just getting paranoid about air leaks after spending a hour stripping my bike to get the back tire off... then just over a hour getting everything back on and torqued and belt adjusted. I would hate to have to do it all twice for one tire!

He can't park the bike any other time? What's so special about 6 o'clock? Is that dinner time?

I go a couple of years on valve stems for my cars.
I've never changed the stems out on any of my bikes. If they start to leak the shop uses an adhevsive around the inside of the stem. Never had a problem.
