Is this something Mr. Penn cooks in his basement or something?

Never heard of it... however if I remember correctly from reading analysis reports on these things, the main ingredient for most all "miracle" additives is zinc.
Quite a few test results question its benefit -- especially its long-term benefit.
Sounds like snake-oil to me...

I switched to it after learning the new Rotella has dropped its levels of zinc and phosphorous. It is suppose to have one of the highest levels of this stuff along with Mobil 1 for bikes. It is made in Penn and is green. Some say it is the old Kendall motorcycle oil. It isnt that high in price either.

Until you mentioned it I had never heard of it. Kendall was a good oil for cars. Used it trouble free for years.
Ask yourself, "Should I trust anything with Brad as part of the name?" :)

Penn oil is Sneaky.
If you look at the product bulletin for high performance oils is lists the zinc and phosphorus content but when you look at the motorcycle oils they do not list them.
Soo much for Penn I just wrote them off...............

The Penn-Grade 1® oils "typical" 1,500 ppm Zinc (Zn) and 1340-1400 ppm Phosphorus (P) content provide the needed anti-wear protection to critical engine parts, such as piston/cylinder walls, roller cams under heavy valve spring pressure and especially those that employ a solid "flat tappet" type system.
