Assuming the scoot rides as well as it looks in the pics, I'll be the proud owner of a black '07 Nomad tomorrow about noon! 14k miles and the only a light bar/spots for accessories (for now). I'm paying a bit too much ($7800 after the dealer adds his grand to the price) and the interest rate is outrageous but if yer gonna play, ya gotta pay. Unfortunately, my credit is shot so the only way I can buy a bike is through a buy-here-pay-here. It's a small place and the owner doesn't generally deal in bikes but he's making an exception since I've never been late on a payment. Still, I can see alot of PB sandwiches for the next 3 years. :)

Anyway, I'll post pics when I get it home tomorrow. Just wanted to share!

Well you can eat P&B sandwiches and then go ride ooooooorrrrrrr you could have steak once in awhile and drive your car.
P&B isn't so bad is it.

That is what I paid for mine in March of this year at a Suzuki dealer. It had 11,800 miles on it. The bank said it was below book. I love it and I'm sure you will too. Ride safe.

Monkeyman, the 2007 Nomad has a retail price of $8315.00 in excellent condition. According to Kelly Bluebook.
Congrats on your purchase, but remember it never happened without photos.

Thanks, guys. There are still a few hurdles (making sure KMart has trailer wiring/ball for one) but I feel pretty good about it. I'm not that worried about peanut butter sandwiches. I get tired of them once in a while but that's about all I eat at work (I'm "frugal" :) ). I'm a worrier so until this deal is done, the scoot is in the garage and the paperwork is in my filing cabinet, I'll be a bit on edge. It's just the way I am.

I wasn't aware that black was the slowest color. Maybe I should stop by KMart and find a spray can of metallic orange? Lime Green? I wonder if a mixture of the 2 would go even faster. :)

As far as the price, I know it's under book. What kinda gets me is the way the dealer did things. I told him my limit was 7k. He bought the bike for $6800 and after I was all revved up told me that he was going to add his "usual" $1500. I told him he never mentioned that so he brought that down to a grand. With the interest rate he's charging, he probably shouldn't have marked the bike up much if at all. (I'm borrowing the money directly from him so all the interest goes in his pocket.)

on the soon to be new bike,, BUT becarefull of dealers like that! Watch out for dealers like that! READ the fine print, alot of them will send the Repo guy if you are late in a payment...PB& J isnt too bad :) lived on that for awhile my self :).
If you can try to pay a few $$$$ over each month to help pay off the loan early, It can save you a ton of interest! I paid my car off about 8 months early by over paying and am doing the same with my morgage.......Break down your payments into the cost of the bike and the Total interest and you will see.... Ride Safe and enjoy the road

Congrat's on the '07. Black is definitely the best color. ;D

Purple is the fastest color, Bill. Just ask TC.

FYI everyone wants "Their" color to be the fastest. The only color that's really faster is Green. Not because of the color, it's because Vic has a Super Charger on his Green Nomad.

Monkeyman, as long as you are happy with the deal you make and can make it happen for you. Nothing else matters...

First pic is on the trailer, ready to come home.
Looks good lowered. Hmmmm.
The bike mostly dried off.
I hate Vista Cruise so removing it was my first "mod".

2 hours each way to pick it up. Poured rain most of the way both directions. It cleared up just a enough for a quick test ride when I got it and again at home long enough to snap that pic and ride around the block.

I go in Monday to sign the papers but it's in my garage. Not sure if there's enough room for the scoot and my truck. What do you think gets the garage space? :)

I'll find a way to fit both in there for the winter but come spring, the truck will just have to get wet. :)
