We will be leaving shortly for Maggie Valley.

It looks like it is going to be a fun weekend at the Applecover.

We're taking the long way, up through Lake Lure then through Bat Cave and over Cold Mountain into Waynesville followed by a short ride to the Applecover.

If you can make it, come on over, Derrick still has a couple rooms open.

We had a great weekend. I think about 11 or 12 bikes showed up. Derrick as always took great care of us. The riding was off the hook, we took 7 hours to get there, we could've made it in 2 1\2. We rode backroads in SC then over to 64 through Lake Lure and ended up going through Pisgah and over Cold Mountain. Saturday we did close to a 300 mile loop through the mountains including a little 'Dragonchasing' and the Cherohala. The evenings were as much or more fun, with the people there making the weekend something special. And I have to thank the Fredom Riders girls for making Saturday nihgt/Sunday morning 'interesting'.

I hope a few more can make it up next time. We made arrangements to do it again the last weekend of August next year.
