I hope this tire comes in our size and doesn't cost a fortune, I would give them a try.

It will be interesting to see what sizes they will be available in.

If they have our size, it would be neat for someone to try them out.
Thats pretty impressive mileage, it will be worth watching first impressions when they hit the market.
I ran 2 sets of Michelin Commanders before they discontinued them and liked them. Now I run a set of Dunlop E3 tires, which so far I like. Might try the new Commander II also, if they come in the right size for the Nomad.

I have the Pilot Road 2's on my bike, but they just came out with the Pilot Road 3's: http://www.michelinmotorcycle.com/index.cfm?event=pilotroad3
I will probably get the 3's in a month or so as mine are getting pretty much done after going to and from the rally.
Michelin makes a good tire and they work well in the rain. I didn't see the Commander's on the US site though. If they come out with it for the US, they would be a good choice. I've gotten over 8K on mine, and that is for a sport touring tire, which usually doesn't last as long as a touring tire.

Sounds like a great tire. Maybe it will be available for our bikes.

I could look it up but I am going to bed.
Got a 350 mile day trip planned for tomorrow. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I'm looking for a new radial front soon, but I'm not buying on looks alone. Show me the traction rating!

Ponch,
Key words "sport bike" on that tire. Will mean a 17" new wheel to get one to fit on a Nomad. I like the sipes though. :-)

There has been a lot of good feedback about the tire. Normally, I like Metzler, but I may just keep Michelin on the bike. As far as the Nomad goes, there are some choices out there and hopefully we'll see some more with the Commander II.

I wil need to replace my front tire next season, I may give it a try if it's available. I'm liking the GYTT on the rear.

GYTT 205/60-16 is my choice for the rear (and liking it, LOTS) for my 2006 1600. Just starting to do the homework for the next front tire. Not seeing a lot of info on alternative tires for the front. Sizes that might fit other than a 150/80-16 might be interesting if I could find them. :-/

I think metzler makes a radial in that size for your front.

Any sites out there that show "alternate" tire sizes for the front that work???

24854.847 miles - but you should probably play it safe and replace it at 24854.837 miles. ;)

Just curious, the improvement in all around performance with the GYTT has me wondering, "How good can it get?".

Metzler makes a radial in the size of the front tire for the Nomad 1600.

It's the stock replacement for the V2K.
