The pic is in my sig.
Did an air mod soon after I got the bike on the road and used a low profile technique described on Gadget's site. I was never really satisfied with the donut hole effect (in the left bike of the three bike pic), but not so much so that I would change the mod.
I thought of all kinds of covers, but I wanted to be able to easily get to the bolt holding the filter in place and the filter requires air flow into the donut hole. Also, I didn't want to drill into the top of the air filter.
Then, it dawned on me that the derby covers on HD's are about the right size. I found all kinds of designs, but nothing looked right. Then one day, I was looking for some marketing materials and came across photo belt buckles ....
I used J-B Weld to attach 5 safety nuts to the top of the filter, inserted spacers to allow airflow, epoxied the belt buckle to a lexan, tinted disk and voila!
