Hells angels

The Hells Angels are holding a gathering in Laconia, NH (next town over). they are expecting about 2000 of them. My understanding is they did this a few years ago as well. No problems then and none so far, although my wife said the local PD does have a tank (or maybe an armored personnel carrier) on hand http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif

They're not the same club as in the past.

There are three clubhouses within 30 miles of here, and we see and interact with many of them on a regular basis.

People watch too much TV. As was mentioned at several recent COC meetings, it isn't 1970 anymore, it's time to move on. I doubt there will be any issues of consequence.

The HA are the least of my worries, ABATE of AZ holds a get together every year called "Too Broke for Sturgis". This year's bash was held last weekend and on Friday night, 4 people were shot and 3 of them died. These were folks who got into an argument over food at a campsite. I'm sure alcohol had something to do with it as well. None of those involved were affiliated with any club.

I'm sure the Red and White will behave themselves in Laconia. There's always a lot of eyes on them.

HA church is in a section of Laconia, and has been a long time, many years. They have a nice building there too. The only way they mess with us, is if we mess with them first. Banditos had their World Wide Rally in Moab, while I was there a few year ago. They weren't overly friendly, but didn't cause any problem. Just kept to themselves for the most part.

Used to be we thought we could trust a clean cut guy wearing a tie, but nowadays it's the other way around.

The HA won't make me their bee's wax, unless I do something to deserve it. I used to install SU type 4 carbs on their bikes for them, and was always paid fast. I was never taken once by them, and was treated with kid gloves for the service i could do. At that time not many mechanics knew SU carbs well. That was a early tupe of CV carb.

Suits on the other hand never got along well with me, and figured they didn't need me till they either got stuck in a snow bank, or got a flat tore on the road. All I got for that was nuthin' and they were gone as soon as they were freed.

Same thing for cops. When it was me broken down, I have to act like I did something bad, when I see a cop to get any attention, and then I am usually told some tale, and they leave me as I was still stranded. I have pulled a number of them out of snow banks too.
