My wife's new half helmet is a little big on her head! I have suggested a do rag. Any other tips to make it fit better?

;) yeah yeah I aint gonna hit her in the head to make it swell!

Buy another helmet. This is not something you want to "make work".

Charlie...you need some white walls on that baby!

Dale,

I agree with Charlie. A good fitting helmet is important especially in an emergency.

Good Luck

And when you get her a new one get at least a 3/4.
Full face would be even better.

If a do rag makes it fit snugly, then yes. If it takes more, then get a new helmet.

Benefits: it keeps the inside of the helmet cleaner longer and makes wifey look more like a biker babe-- and you know what they say about bike babes, don't you?

btw, I use an Under Armor skull cap (ala Ray Lewis: "Men want to be like me" "Women want to be with me!")

The doo rag makes it fit pretty good. The helmet is fine until we get over 50 mph then it blows back on her head. Would a shield help? by the way she has a full face as well. fits fine. :)

If the wind can make it move back on her head, think about what a fall could do to it. Just saying......

Personally, I would ditch that thing.

Time to try on some other helmets.

If its sliding back on her head while riding, I would look for another one that stays in place. A helmet is no good at all if it won't protect you when you really need it.

if the wind is blowing it back on her head it is way to big for her.a proper fiting helmet should move the skin of her forhead before the helmet will
slide back on the head.

Good video Dave.
That being said I would bet not one person on this site has gone to the trouble of having their helmet fitted to their head.
Me included.

I did. when I bought my newest helmet from Chester's Harley Davidson in Mesa, they actually fitted me for it.

I stand corrected.
What did they do and how long of a process was it Scott?

If your wife's head is important, buy her a new lid.
