I was reluctant at first to just paint my fairing one color instead of the matching two tone. I think it turned out great and glad I did. How many others out there have done the same thing?

It looks great one colour. But I went with the two tone. Mine is hard to see unless the sun is shining bright ,... but then the gray pops pretty nice I think.

The single color looks great. Had to save some dollars.

Single for me, but with an all black bike it seemd to make the most sense. Like the look of your as well.

It looks good, but I still prefer the two tone look, actually with the amount of stone chips I had on mine I'll probably add a bra to the fairing on the next bike. Hopefully that will protect it on the highway.

My 2007 Nomad was all black and I had the fairing painted to match. My new bike has a two-tone scheme and I prefer that.

I had mine painted two tone to match the bike .Bike was two tone so thought the fairing would look better two tone.
Mine is one tone blue and when I had my tour pack added, went single tone also... I think it looks good and may have the bike painted all blue when the time comes!!
Mine was all black, but I went to the two tone when I added the H-D Ultra trunk. With the pin stripes matching the gas tank and fender and I think it made the bike look pretty darn good.

Let me know if you find a bra without the bar and shield and HD on it.
I'll buy one too.

I think the Nomad looks much better as a single colored bike. It amplifies the lines of the bike.

Dave,The single color does look good.
Jared, the bike looks awesome.
I plan on repainting my bike in the next year or so, and right now, I'm leaning toward a solid Cobalt Blue Pearl.

I haven't looked into it, but how much (roughly) does it cost to repaint a bike? Right now all I have are the fenders, tank, & bags. Eventually will put on a fairing.
I know it all depends on type of paint, color, how many coats... but I'm just curious as to a rough estimate.

I paid $500.00 to grt my fairing repainted in two tone, it also needed a slight repair. I was quoted $2200.00 to repaint the complete bike, with me doing the re & re of the parts. Around here paint work is expensive.

It veries greatly. If you pull the parts and rebuild the bike, that alone will save you $500.
A good simple paint job will cost you between $2000-$3000. Custome with air brushing etc will be more.

Were you at the Rally in Maggie Valley? Did you happen to see Tom's bike from SoCal? I think he told me he paid about $4000 for that paint job a couple of years ago.

Wow Jared, Your solid red Nomad looks awesome. I am also going to go with the solid red in time and finances willing. Am curious as to what color your bike was originally? Again, great job dude!

Dave - I think your paint job turned out real well - and no you don't have to bow down to going two tone just because the rest of the bike is.
I think one of the thigns that makes yours work is that you also painted the side covers a single colour too.
overall - very sharp.
Much better then mine right now (blue/silver, black fairing, black trunk)....
