Dave, Marie and I rode and took a different road last Saturday through Los Padres Nat'l Forest.

Dave and I switched mounts so my girlfriend could review his passenger pilon to mine. You can see Dave on the fastest Green/Silver Nomad in these pics.

Marie said that Dave's HD had a more user oriented place to sit but with my truck tire on the back my Nomad rode a lot more smoothly on the roads. I had to tell Dave, in case he didn't know it but his bike did ping a little.

Dave'c comment was that he could hear my exhaust better than on his HD. He passed me and I got to hear my Nomad's exhaust and was very pleased that it sounded tough as he motored by! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Packing double I averaged 41mpg running the back roads and highway at speeds up to 80mph..

That was only the Eastern side of it Kris. It goes all the way to Santa Barbara. there is plenty of forest trees west. this place is just so far out of the way that it's a very remote ride!
