Purchased a new Frogg Toggs Road Toad rainsuit this week. Priced at $49.98 and was wondering if I got a good deal or not. The last Frogg Toggs suit I bought was bought while on one of my trips out to Texas. Bought it in Monroe, LA at a Honda dealer. Don't recall what I paid but it didn't have near the quality that my new suit has.

What did you pay for your Frogg Toggs Road Toad?

From what Ive seen $50.00 is as a good a price as you can get on them. However I also learned that lot of the textile jackets that are available nowadays are totally waterproof and have protective armour built into them. That can be a real handy feature under certain conditions.

My next purchase, when it comes about, will be for textile, because of the multi-use.

That sounds like a good price to me, Gene. I paid a little more than that for mine at Cabela's.

Gene I paid $59.00 for mine on my way back from Custer and you know I had the regular Frog toggs and wore them a lot but since I bought the new ones I have not used them once.

Recently attending White Horse Press Open House I saw them at around 80 bucks for the jacket and pants. I almost bought them but the pants come with the jacket size are too big for me. I take a XL jacket and small pants. The pants were so big with that jacket i would have needed another body in them with me. Ever since I have been wondering about that idea too http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Thanks for the replies guys. I went with the large as the guy at the store told me the extra large pants would be way too long. Tried them on and the large worked almost perfectly. I am well satisfied.

Mac go to the Frogg toggs web site some times you can pick up a jacket one size and pants of another size on there most of the time at a good price

I checked their website and was surprised to see their price was $10 more than I paid. I now feel like I got a good deal. Their website is a good place to look though.

Ive noticed that you can usually get a better price on items from another reseller, verses the products main website. I think they do it so their dealers have a reason to stock the products and distribute them.

Too late. I went to White Horse Press just to get 2 rain suits. I chose tour master. It rains rather a lot in NH, and I wanted to have this yellow they make so mabye i would resemble a cloud.

At WHP the Toggs were sets which at least WHP would not split. No one would want the smaller jacket and the really big pants as a broken set anyway.

Even the small in tour master pants are long on me but won't flap into the head pipes (I hope) I took an XL jacket which fits over my leather jacket. I am not that big, but with my jacket on I guess I am.

This is for over jackets and chaps. The pants fit over all that other stuff too.

I paid with tax about $62 bucks. Love them, got them extra big (so I tell myself) so that they fit over my chaps and jacket in the winter. The only down side is they only had one color to pick from, which was a kind of brown color. I really wanted a yellow or green or anything bright so I could be seen better in a rain storm.
