View Full Version : Scraped left pipe
Leaving my driveway this morning i caught the curb at the end of my driveway and scraped and dented the left heat shield and muffler. 2011 over $650 for new parts at the dealer. Anyone know of a cheaper place to get parts. Checked e-bay. nothing. The small heat shield Looks the worst. The muffler scrape is underneath so not bad. The heat shield is the same for 09-11 but muffler is different. It is tapered instead of slash cut.

Check the salvage yards, there around the country, some one should have one by now. Wait for used. Check the adds in the back of most bike mags, used kawasaki parts companies advertsie there.

A 2011 can use slip-on mufflers, can't it? Try to find a set of tri-ovals.
Also, there are OEM parts houses like Bike Bandit, Cheap Cycle Parts, Mr. Cycles, Ron Ayers and others who sell genuine Kawasaki parts for a lot less than your local dealer.

Dealers have a huge mark up. I would check with some of the online parts places as CactusJack suggested. Still will be expensive though.
Ron Ayres is where i checked for price but are still expensive.

Check out this link, a set of Cobra Tri-Oval slip-ons that a member here is trying to sell. They are some sweet looking pipes.

Kawasaki parts are very expensive, and with the markup most local dealers have, they are ridiculously expensive.

Check Ebay, someone may be parting one out.

JP - There is a guy on the kawasaki Vulcan forum that is selling a set of pipes for a VV that he claims only have 250 miles on them. Give it a look http://www.vulcanforums.com/

Perfect excuse......er opportunity to pick up the tri ovals a member is selling.
I would check Ebay every day and also your local Craigslist and surrounding Craigslist ads. Somebody will be offering up a stock set of pipes after putting on their new aftermarkets.
