Looking at a cheap set of rain gear for my girlfriend, everyone recommends frogg toggs but no one says which model.... any input would be appreciated.

Frogg Toggs Road Toads. I bought mine at the local Cabela's store.

Same. Frogg Toggs Road Toads, bought them at a big sports store, called Dicks around here. $60 bucks. Love them.

Frogg Toggs Road Toads. If your girlfriend is fashion conscious, she will hate them. They are big and baggy, but they are effective. The company website shows a women's version, which I have no experience with, so maybe they have a tighter fit.
Don't forget something to cover her feet. Passenger isn't as bad as driver, but feet get as wet as anything.

I had Frog Toggs, tossed the jacket. The zipper broke after the third time I used it. Still have the pants but bought Tour Master jackets for myself and Cindy.
I like the "lookin' for a CHEAP set of rain gear for the girlfriend" http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Just a heads up, girlfriends who get cheap stuff don't remain girlfriends for long. ;)
Rain gear is one of those things that I am happy to say I have only used twice in the last 3 seasons of riding... So no, I am not CHEAP on everything, just trying to save a buck to probably spend on her later.

Really cheap raingear probably wouldn't survive one ride. They tend to shred and come apart from the flapping in the wind.
A set of Frogg Toggs run around $50, they aren't the cheapest but you can also spend much more than that. I had my first set for 3 years and only replaced them after one of the pant legs cooked on my exhaust pipe.

I like to wrap my girlfriend in cellophane.
$50 is cheaper than the set I got lol, but mine were purchased during a rainstorm, and the only ones they had that fit

I am getting my first real rain gear at the White Horse Press Spring Grande opening for the both of us. With the frogs ya get what ya get. Any frog jacket that will fit me comes with pants my wife and I can both be in at the same time.
With Tour Master I can get a jacket that fits me and pants that fit me too. So can my wife.
The current offers are yellow and black, and red and black. I think I will go with yellow and black for both of us. I hope that pale yellow stands out in the gray's and rains of NH.
The cost of Tour Master is a little more, but not that much more than the frogs.
I am just sick of making moutain gear made for wind and rain, but not at 60 MPH so much and sitting, and getting my butt wet. I am sick of trash bags too http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif but will still carry trash bags anyway.

Not really relevant, but met a world tourer once who packed fishing waders for those really rainy days! Coupled with a good jacket, hood under helmet, he was damn near water proof....but probably would sweat like a pig.
