I don't know if this is the place to put this, but has anyone but me been frustrated with the search feature of the forum? I don't think I have ever been successful with it. It's probably my fault...everything is according to the wife.

Same kind of a question about how to get to a thread that was posted a day or two ago. For example the question on AlabamaNomadRider, and how he was. When it is not up on the thread under new topics, how do you find a topic or thread that is a day or two old but you want to go back to it. If you have entered the conversation it shows up on the topics you have been involved in but as the above, I am not sure how to get to the older threads. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks Den

It frustrates most people, its a poor confusing tool. Since Ive been around here there has been only one member that seemed to have good results with it, but he hasn't been around in a couple years.

I've had pretty good results with the search, but only because I hit the REFRESH button a couple of times after it times out. I'm thinking maybe the first time it searches, it times out before it goes through all the data ... then, when I hit refresh, it uses the previously found data in a cache and continues to search from where it left off ... I don't know. But I only have this problem when going back beyond a couple of months ago. If I'm searching for recent postings, I don't have a problem.

Try the Google search on the bottom of the page and click on the Kawanow.proboards.com (http://Kawanow.proboards.com) button, it seems to work well.

The key here is to pay attention to which board the post was in.

Such as in Nomad/Motorcycle Retated, or Parts for Sale, etc.

Just go to that board. If the post isn't on the first page go to the second and so on.

Every board that has more than one page (which is most of them by now) at the top left and at the bottom left of each page it will say "Page 1 of X >> Jump to [ ] page.

If you click on the >> it will go to the next page. Or you can put a number in the little box right aftert the "Jump to" and hit enter.

Yeah ... good point ... when I do a search, I also only check the box of the board I'm interested in searching.
