I am considering a Memphis Bat Wing and I have a question concerning the windshield height.I am 6'1" and would like to look over the windshield just a bit.I'm thinking the 9 inch shield should be close but would like to hear your experiences on the correct height.

Have you considered a Reckless I really like mine I got a 7" Freedom shield for it can still see over it (5'11" tall) it has a flip to the top and shoot the air at least 2" over my helment the Reckless comes with the brackets to mount it with If you can paint you can come out great just look on ebay and can pick one up for about 300 and shipping 50

I did consider a Reckless but decided on the Memphis because it has a nice black finish that will match my bike and that will save some bucks not having to paint it.I can get the complete fairing kit that includes the trigger lock quick release and my choice of windshield color and size for $335.00 to my door.I really like the trigger lock system. You can remove the fairing in about a minute for cleaning etc.I do have to say that Reckless looks really good on your bike.

I don't think so Tom.I believe it has single wall construction. They do have speaker and amp kit that will attach to the fairing but it is a one piece unit that you plug an mp3 player etc.

I have the Memphis shades fairing on my bike and really like it .I had it painted to match .I am 6ft. tall and have the 12" windshield and sitting normally on the bike the top is even with my nose .Hope this helps .Great price for the fairing .I paid around $400.00 but also got the windshield trim and the fairing lowers

Looks good Mike.I think a 12 inch windshield would work best for me.I just remembered I have 4 inch risers on my handlebars and my new concern is will the fairing still provide wind protection for my hands?

the memphis shades does fairing does not completely give protection for your hands but does a much better job than does the stock shield. i have the black one with the black lowers and slotted chrome trim piece and 9 " solar shield. since the fairing is adjustable, i can tilt it back for sleek look or tilt it forward when riding two up and give passenger more protection

Thanks everyone. My only concern is my 4 inch handlebar extensions causing the grip to extend above the fairing thus no hand protection.Anyone experience this?
