I've read about these here and on a number of other forums. They're junk, as far as I'm concerned. You did ask... http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Here is what I just bought. I have hooked them up on the work bench and they sound pretty good.

I got the hundred watt version and they are probably best considered "disposable" They seem to work fine but i bet they dont last too long. I paid like $35 for the 100 watt on ebay.

I've never tried one, but have looked into them. I've only seen good reviews for them. There are several videos on YouTube regarding the systems. I'm interested in others feedback also.

Right, the reviews on the webpage who knows if they are real or not. I was wanting to hear from someone who has actually seen it in use or has had one.

A guy at work bought one or something very similar last season, it is dissapointing at best.

I bought one similar to what you have in the link from the same site 4 or 5 years ago. In my opinion, it worked great. I had it on my old bike for 3+ years before I got the Nomad and then moved it over to the Nomad. I hooked my ipod up to it and never had a problem with the sound or volume. I would still be using it except I joined the batwing brigade and added a fairing with the stereo in the fairing. I have since given the unit to a friend and he has it on his bike, again with no complaints. IMHO, it is great bang for the buck. Its not going to replace my stereo at home, but for tunes while on the road I don't think you can go wrong.

I ordered those and i was very pleased with the sound. It could have had more bass and the mirror mount brackets are not that good but other than that it is not a bad system for the price.

Before I put my fairing on I had this system on my bike. It worked pretty well and even at highway speeds you could hear it. It wasn't PERFECT, but for a set of speakers on a bike it did work fine. I think for the price it is a decent solution. The only thing I didn't like was the FM radio part since I could not see or mount it where you could access it in my situation it wasn't much use. The remote worked well on the left handlebar above the highbeam switch to mute and turn up the volume etc. I'd say for the $ spent it's worth a try. Some don't like it, but like I said for what it is for the price it is it's not bad IMHO!!!

Better then nothing....and ear buds get old and irritating after a while to me.

I've got the 250 watt set. It works OK. Have had it for 3 years and had to replace a speaker. and last fall my amp quit working and got real HOT. jerked it off the bike rather quickly and havent ordered a replacement yet. I do mean hot. I couldn't touch it with out gloves. I had mine mounted under my left side cover and not much air flow. I will replace the amp but with a 100 wat only. the speakers are 50watt and the amp is set up so you have 2 outputs for the speakers that are 50 watts and a aux output for a sub woofer ( where the hell am I gonna put a sub woofer ), anyway it is what you pay for. it will last you a couple years and give you some tunes right now for cheap.

I bought a system similiar if not identical to the one shown. I have had it on the bike for over a year with no problem. I use my ipod. and mounted the remote on my brake resovoir so I can reach it while driving. As stated the radio isn't much use since you can't access it very well although I keep it tuned to the local news channel and can switch to that for commuting if I want to. I also have to make sure my ipod volume is up or the amp volume will not go loud enough for highway speeds. However with the ipod volume up I can hear it just fine at 90 MPH. Also as stated the bass could be better but for the price I am not going to complain.

Mine came with brackets that I used to mount them to the mirror stems. They worked fine there and put them a bit closer to me so more sound.

The speaker brackets were the most disappointing part but easily replaceable. I mounted mine in the back on the sissy bar uprights.
