I'm sure someone will chime in soon, but I'm thinking in the area of 60-70 hp.

***Just looked up the specs: ***
Horsepower - 66 HP at 4700 RPM
Torque - 94 lb-ft at 2700 RPM

It's a bit less at the rear wheel. More like 55-60hp and 75-80 ft lbs torque, stock.

Did you run it on the dyno stock?

If you went with a 2-1 pipe, like the Muzzy or the pro pipe and tuned it accordingly, you'd probably see more. Also, try running 5w40 in it if you don't. Heavier oil will take a pony or two.

Does anyone want to ride faster than their Nomad will carry them? Or take off faster than it does? Mine will run way faster than I need or care to ride. Fast enough off the line so to me it really doesn't matter. 60 horses is plenty for me.

Yes. That's one of the reasons I tried something different. It's not that I wouldn't ever return to the fold, probably will some day, but it was revelatory to ride something that can get out it's own way, stop well and have decent range to name a few. I also found the seating to be less than optimal. I did try the Voyager and it was a lot better than the nomad from the seat aspect and low speed handling, but it was pokey.

My wing is a lot faster than my Nomad but.....

I always smile when I ride the Nomad.

So it has atleast as much "fun power" as any bike made.

I wish I felt the same way. It wasn't a bad bike...It's always easier switching bikes that spouses, no? http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif Cheaper too. ;)
