Hey Flash,
I have that same drink holder and I love it. It was recommended to me not to use the swivel function. Enjoy.

I just got the Ram system drink holder and while it's not the prettiest drink holder I have ever seen it is the most versital one I have ever used.

I think I'm just going to do this one. Cheap, works, and I can put whatever drink I want in it.

I like this idea - and you had no problems fitting it on the handle bar?

Guess I will just stop at a service station a drink while I'm there. I don't think I have ever drank anything while riding.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. It works perfect! Easy to put on, and can hold just about anything. I have 2 on my road bicycle and finally put the one on my Nomad to use yesterday. I bought a smoothie from my gym and drank it on the way home. 24 oz. styrofoam cup and it stayed in just fine... even at 70-75 mph.

USRanger- No, took about 2 minutes to mount. It doesn't hit the tank (2003) or anything even when fully turned.

Alabama- I don't use it alot, mainly when I am doing long stretches in hot weather on lonesome roads. I fill it up with ice and a little water and keeps me from getting dehydrated. Refreshing.

For $6 I thought I would give it a try. I have a bunch of those SS mugs. I think the SS coffee travel mug has replaced the tie as most given gift to Dads. ;)

Heck, I just stick a plastic water bottle with a flip top lid (Daisani or something similar) in between the handlebar risers and the windshield. No pain, no strain. Have never lost one. Hasn't seemed to mar the chrome at all. Not recommended for a pop bottle and coffee doesn't stay warm very long - but for just plain water it works.

I just bought this one at K-mart. Great holder and a little more inconspicuous that other bike holders.

upside22, I think someone on here had an "insident" or close call last year putting a bottle between the risers and windshield. Might not be such a good location.

Nothing says "classy" quite like a $5 drink holder on a $10,000.00+ motorcycle. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif Just an observation.

If we Nomad owners were concerned about image we would be riding something else ;) http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif

Not necessarily, Schoeney. Not everyone considers their Nomad a consolation prize.

Nor do I. But most riders who are wrapped up in image are riding something else.

I am definitely not worried enough about image to spend an additional $50 for a cup holder.

Why are you caught up in me spending more money than needed? First you bash my $3 filters now my $6 cup holder..Quit pickin on me or I will tell on you http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif

You know what I meant. I had a chrome Kuzer Caddy beverage holder and you can use it in the swivel or fixed position. I found out quick you don't want it to swivel.

Ive never had a need to mount a drink holder on the bike, If I lived in a hot climate I may. Usually the only time I'll have a drink on the bike is coming and going from the rally's, since I like to make good time whenever possible. Then I stuff it between the risers and fairing for those occasions.

I put a drink holder on last summer.
Put a drink in it. Rode 2K miles and never touched it.
I stop about every 100 to 150 miles for a break with a drink.

I got this one: http://www.barefootwillies.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2
and have used it for years on two bikes. I can stop for a cup of coffee on the way to work and not have it spill in the saddlebag, and the travel mug from the local WaWa fits perfectly. Hot or cold drinks, works fine!

Check out the Butler Mug.. I have had the same one for years now on several different bikes. They come in two different sizes now..etc.. I perfer the bigger one as I had a throat operation years back and need the moisture all the time. Also what's nice is the "wish bone " thingy holds the cup is quickly removed with a thumb knob; if you would, and then the support bracket folds back when not in use.. also that knob lets the "wish bone" thingy be put in any desired angle.. The cup is doubled wall so the cold/hot stays that way for a long time! Pricey... yes; ugly when in use... yes; extremely functional... yes!!!! I think the web site is classact?? anyway google Butler Mug and you'll ind it..
