Does anyone know what brand of lightbar this is? I know it is NOT a Cobra or a Fire and Steel.

Jared, I don't think both pics are of the same light bar. Is this a trick question?

They are. I swapped the turn signal lenses while working on the light bar. Don't let it trick you. :)

I'm probally wrong but that does look like the F&S lightbar to me.

I think it is a Cobra.

It's on a Nomad, duh!!

I have owned a f&s and cobra. This light bar is different. The turn signals don't attach to the lightbar. There is mall gap cut out of the side of the bar and the turn signals have spacers on them to make them stick out enough.

I'm still saying it is a Cobra. Might be an older Cobra. They made one like that for a Nomad. You did say it was on a Nomad, Right ::)

+1 on the Cobra. It looks just like mine, Cobra. The switch is the same.

I may be... I thought the the light bar I had on my first Nomad was a Cobra and it was different than this one. How does the turn signal attached to the cobra light bar?

If you look at the third picture you can see that there is a round cut out on the side of the light bar where the turn signal comes through. i don't remember this on the cobra units.

Cobra has different styles. Go to the Dennis Kirk wwebsite and you can see they have one like you have.
At least they have one in their catalog.

This light bar also mounts on the side of the forks, where the windshield mounts. The others I have had mounted under the triple tree.

I may be an older Cobra model. That would make since.

Cobra

That looks like it may be it. How does yours mount?

It could also be a homebrew.

After a closer look at the pictures of Ballast's lightbar that he posted on another thread, we definitely have the same bar. I was almost 100% that the first Nomad I had had a cobra bar on it, but it was mounted under the triple tree like the f&s bars are.

I'm betting that, like other said, Cobra may have changed their design a bit.

It mounts on the fork sides just like yours.

How about National Cycle? They have a couple that are similar to the Cobras or the F/S.

Just a guess and I haven't looked to verify.

My lightbar looks exactly like that and it is a fire and steel. I believe that cobra makes the light bar for kawasaki fire and steel.

My Fire and steel mounted under the triple tree. It looked the same but the mounting location was very different.

Not sure what those are except they are the same as mine. Had then installed by the dealer when I bought it. Had the same curiousity a year later on what they were, tried to find out and glad to see some one else asking. I had thought they were Cobra's, but it was only a guess as I had nothing to go by except they didn't look at all like the F&Sl ones I saw.

Jarad, you say you changed out the front turn signals and by the pic you posted they are red. Is that legal in Utah?, cause I pretty sure there not here.

Not sure if it's legal, but they didn't say anything during the inspection and I think it looks better......

That looks exactly like mine. I got them from Greatmillscycles@cs.com.
Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1600 Cobra Lightbar, SKU: 040442-080664. $223.39.
I was surprised to see that it mounted on the forks, too. Been real happy with it.

so why are you asking.....
are you taking it off, or just curious?

Jared

Nope. I've owned three different Nomads all with different light bars. I just wasn't familiar with this one and was wondering.
