Stebel horn arrived today

After all the post I have read and along hearing this horn first hand I finally pulled the trigger and bought one. Now just need to figure out where I'm going to mount the horn, thinking of separating it and putting the compressor inside the left side cover.

I used the mounting bracket that the original horn was on. I just flipped it over. Works great,

Yeah....the mounting location was the biggest challenge. I went simple and mounted using the original horn location and made up an "L" bracket. On the 1500 it was much simpler mounting on the throttle side of the bike. I think the 1600 has more clutch side options.

I'm considering mounting one under the wompus rack behind the license plate.

The reason I haven't bought one is because they are so dang UGLY. Mounting it somewhere stealth would be ideal! Maybe where the goat belly was?

I took the compressor off and painted it black and then put it back together. Once it's all the same color it just blends in with the radiator.

I ordered the black one just so it will be easier to hide. May have to look real hard to find a good place.
