A few weeks ago I posted about selling my red Nomad. I had been offered a more than fair amount for it, and after much debate with myself I sold it.
A few of you guys have been asking me what I got or what I'm going to get. Wel,l here's a write up about what I ended up buying.

Congratulations Jared, the new bike looks like a fine steed indeed. Looks like it has a lot of extras on it and it is the fastest color too!
New bike, 2K in the pocket, life is good for the Utah Motorcyclist.

Nice looking bike. Glad to see another Nomad so you will be hanging around.
If you already have ordered a new truck, what are you plans for the old one? I would be interested in it depending on how it mounts.

Nice bike Jared, and great price and money left over to boot, and a week trip on the new steed. Can't get much better than that.
More bling then the old one too...NICE!!!
I'm sure you'll have it customized to your liking in no time.
New canvas to create from.... http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Sounds like a great deal. But be advised, it is immoral and I am pretty sure illegal to paint over a black Nomad. :]

Congrats, Jared. Looks like a very nice bike. And then coming out of the deal with extra $$$$ in your pocket. We'll be interested in what color you pick for it. Have fun with it.

Jared, how did the new bike perform on the ride home?
It rode like a champ. Didn't skip a beat.
I put 10% more miles on the bike in two days. I don't think it had ever been ridden like the true touring bike it is. It was thanking me the whole way home!

Jared,
Congrats on your new Nomad, I'm sure you will transform it to another bike even the previous owner will not recognize it.
I must say, I'm jealous of this entire deal, that is, buying a bike, flying there to take ownership of your new bike and riding several hundred if not a thousand miles back home, on your new bike. That is one hell of a road trip.
Enjoy your new ride.

Congrats on the new bike. All you have to do now is add red to it and you will have the two fastest colours :-)

Blue flame clear-coat metallic might be cool. It's looks good on a F150.

Not a fan of stock paint. Looks just like everyone elses bike I know how to paint and have access to a booth, so it's a relatively cheap modification.

Wish I had those skills and "hook ups". I want to paint mine too, but don't want to shell out the funds to have it done. One day, though... one day. :)

I've heard or read that there are painters that you can ship the tins to and get them painted. That's might be easier.

http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gifA stellar write as usual.
Although I have to be careful following the links you put in. The sculpture was interesting so I started reading about that. The basis for the sculpture was interesting so I started reading about that and next thing I know I'm butt deep in a lecture on The Fibonacci Sequence. I'll be damned if I didn't acutally learn something http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif

Interesting that you brought that up, as I just bought a '09 F-150 a week ago and love the color. Never thought about doing that to a Nomad though.. give me something to think about! http://s2.images.proboards.com/lipsrsealed.gif ::) http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I love that color too. If I was getting an F150, it would be a strong possibility if they offered it. It's a stand out.
