http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gifThe mods are really coming together. So far I have done:
Cam tenioner extender
Chuckster intake mod
Chuckster risers
Chuckster large lowers, on which I am mounting running lights
Chuckster coaster plates
Cobra pipes are on with fuel module
Eastern Beaver fuse box
Did swing arm, drive shaft service.

In doing all that I have gotten rid of the goat belly, the reed valves and associated hoses. The cannister under the left cover is gone. The "medusa" and all it's hoses are no more. The crossover tube is out as well.

Have more lights for the rear coming
Will replace coolant before putting tank back on
Oil change and gear oil to be done.
Waxing the hell out of it as I go along

Then I think it will be ready to go! http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif
(assuming it will start ::) )

Sounds like you've done a lot!!! I think you will like all the add on you've mentioned. My one question for you is how or where are you going to mount running lights on your lowers? I've never seen this before?

I will throw up some pics for you when I get home. They are from J&P and are rectangular. The wires come out the back I just drilled a couple of small hole for the wires. I have them right up against the bracket so I should be able to hide the wires fairly easily.

Looking good Charlie, nice pictures.

They better be for all the money Ava lets me spend on camera stuff. Almost as much as motorcycle stuff. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Looking Good. I was thinking of installing some similar marker lights in place of the reflectors by the front brake calipers.

Damn Charlie....you've been a busy boy. That thing is gonna be sweet! I just can't get myself to do more mods on a bike with 36k that will be closer to 50k by the end of this summer. Besides, with the wife unemployed for most of last year....bike bling was the first thing to go. I can't wait to to see your bike.....nice work for sure.

I want to put the 2 filament version in place of those reflectors so I will have a blinker visible from the sides.

You haven't even used up 1/3 of it's life yet. Are you thinking about a new ride already?

Thats a great idea, but the assembly may get a little large in the overall size. Perhaps if you could mount a refector with two 194 bulbs, one for marker and one for signal.

LOL....I'm always thinkin'. I do good, regular maintenance on the thing so I know it will last for many more trouble-free miles.... http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif. I dropped a lot of coin on it when it was new....making it the comfortable road couch that it is today....so I just don't think I want to put a lot more money into it at this stage of it's life is all. I plan to do some of these mods on a newer bike when the day comes....but I'm probably gonna live with it the way it is for the remainder of the time I own it.

the reflector is the same as the one in the picture. I replaced the reflectors around the license plate and there is not much size difference. they are 3 1/2 x 1 1/4

Looks like I was mistaken and there is not a 2 filament option. I'll have to do some research and find something to use there because I really want a blinker there.
