hello everyone..
i'm thinking of upgrading to a newer model from an 02 to an 07 i've been looking at on ebay....its got 9500 miles ,red and silver and completely stock for around 7900 i think.
its at a dealer in texas and it will be another 700 to ship it to the nearest border crossing to where i live (PEI canada)
plus border fees etc etc...
i thought 7900 for an 07 with that mileage was not bad...bikes are expensive here in canada
i paid 7600 2 years ago for an 02 loaded ....
any coments would be apreciated.
i have never bought anything on ebay so am new to the game
that is the buy it now price...is that amount writen in stone or will they deal a bit with the right persuasion
what do you all think and maybe some of you texan members know the dealer...............................thanks

Well, first I have an 07 and it has been a great bike. If you were asking me what I thought a low mileage 07 was "worth" I would say "quite a lot" because the Nomad really is a excellent value.

...........But...........

Because I have one I have been watching the sales of the 07 & 08 models. It appears that folks on this forum that have recently sold 07 & 08 models that were loaded with accessories did not get $7900 for their bikes. So I would say that in the US that is a pretty high price even for a low mileage 07. And because it is on ebay, my suggestion is offer them $6500 US money and walk away if you are out bid. I'd be surprised if anyone besides the owner bids on it.

But, again they really are an excellent value and if you plan on keeping this bike 10 years then buy it based on value but if you are going to keep it a couple years you will regret paying that much for a plan jane 07.

I'm not one to generally get in these discussions....BUT.....there was recently an all stock '05 Nomad with 1640 original miles on it advertised in the Seattle area Craigslist for $6200 US. I think if you shop around....you can find an '06-'08 1600 Nomad with fewer miles and more bling for less money. It's a buyers market right now. Just my .02 cents....good luck!

I'm right up the road in Oklahoma and last August I gave $6500 for my loaded 07 with 3200 miles on it. That was at a dealership too. Of course he did start at $8000. I'd shop around.

You can find them for less dollars. I would definitely look around. If the bike is what you want make a bid on it like someone else said. Don't do the buy it now because you will have to pay the asking price or buy it now price. Make what you feel is a decent offer as a bid and see what happens.

Where is the dealer? Texas is a big place; it takes 8 to 13 hours to clear the border, depending upon my route.

I think you could probably find one for less if you shop around.
There will also be a $210.00 RIV fee charged at the border plus the HST.

My '07 has about 28k on it and I wouldn't sell it for $7900.00.

I think $7900 (Canadian ) for a low mileage 07 is a good price in Ontario.

Timebandit posted Pics of an 06 with bat wing and tour pac on the Eastern Canada board. It has quite a few kilometers on it 80,000, or 46,000 miles. It is going for $5000 Can Montreal dealer.

It is in Ontario, but Id shop in the US and bring one back.
I bet you good save over a thousand dollars easily for taking a good drive south.
