Thought I would share this too.....I am big on lights for folks to see me....thought about, and still thinking about two more taillamp assemblies for the saddlebags...but in the mean time put this conversion kit on about 6 months ago.....gives you a little more visibility from behind.

Anyone else done anything regarding rear lights????

I'm sure you've alreay checked out Gadget's stuff........ http://www.gadgetjq.com/modrearturnsignals.htm

I've just added a bright running light under the rear turn signal bar.... real bright.... we'll see if I get stopped for it... kinda doubt it...

If you all guys wouldnt be hitting the brakes all the time you wouldnt need that crap. Just throttle up and ride it.

I know you're from Texas Doc...but our roads in NC don't go for 50 miles without a freekin' intersection... http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

My bike has a little black box called a "priority signal" installed, it converts the rear turn signals into tailights and brakelights. The lenses were changed from amber to red as well. Works great.

Hey Ringadingh - Everytime I look at your bike I salivate! Nice set up man!

This is the electrical connection kit reference above....you see the ring of LEDs a little more in the photos than in real life...but you get the idea......I soldered all of my connections vs. using the crimp sleeves provided in the kit.

Running lights with signal on (actual didnt catch it right..the signal is just as bright yellow as the next one showing the brake on too)

Hope this helps anyone trying to decide. Definitely makes you more visible from behind.

Hey Todd,

I did the same conversion ( electrical connection) on the Nomad and my last bike. Does a nice job. I'm also adding a a "Tail Blazer". I'm going to mount upside down so it is tucked under the luggage rack. I've seen them work before and do a good job of bringing attention to you.

What? Did you all take the same genius electronics/not afraid to screw up your bike class and I missed it? Man I wish I could install stuff like that. I would be afraid they would see the ball of fire for miles.

I use a kuryakan run/turn/brake controller and red tail lenes. I think they started selling it as a kit now for about $99.
