Tour Pak

http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif Life is good! Let's say I have $1500 to spend and want to put a tour pack on my 2001 Nomad FI. I have pretty much decided on the Wompus rack, but what is my best bet for the trunk itself? Oh yeah, would like lights and top rack on trunk! And where can I purchase said trunk? Could spend more if necessary. I know there is a lot of threads on tour packs but didn't find all I wanted to know in one spot , guess I am lazy. ;)

e bay has a great selection on all tour pac,s, a used hd tour pac is what i went with.watch the auctions closely,and you can get a pretty decent one for not a bad price.

It all depends on how much you want to spend on it and how much work you're willing to do yourself. You can buy a generic trunk like a Scootworks Supertrunk III and you will have to paint it and add the rack and lights yourself. You could buy a Premeux tourpak and mount it right out of the box, or you could buy a used HD or Voyager tourpak and make any necessary repairs and most likely, paint it as well.

I have a Scootworks trunk and am into it around a grand.

Saw a couple on eBay with a buy it now price of $199. These come with a wrap around backrest.

Id look for a Genuine Harley trunk on Ebay, get one off an Ultra with all the lights, rack,backresr,speaker pods, and carpet liner in it. I seen a brand new one sell for just over $1200.00 before.

You can get some good deals on ebay be sure to try to find one that is not cracked if you have to paint it a few scratches will be ok when I get done with mine I will have 850 in it including wompus rack (on sale this month 200) tourpak 325--woumpus rack 200 extended model ---paint 225 ---new hinges and latches 100 for about 850 will add more chrome latter maybe have to see what it looks like on bike search for harley davidson tourpak -- harley davidson tourpac-- harley davidson tourpack in order to not miss any

looks like about 115 mile from you to mason city 1hr 40 min drive
about 10 to 12 gal gas to save 85 bucks
