Or the 2007's.
Waiting patiently for a Front Bevel gear recall. . . . now would be a good time.

Hopefully they'll extend this for all the 1600 models as well. I can almost get my 2008 to do this reliably on my way to work as I'm getting off the freeway.

This might be part of the cool weather problems. Until fully warmed up (hot) in weather below 50-55 degrees the bike tending to die when holding the clutch in coasting to a stop.
I complained many times to the dealer about this to no avail. I just got used to blipping the throttle a second or two after I pulled the clutch in to keep it running.
I'm glad Kawasaki is doing something about it. I'm also scared that they might screw it up even more than it is now.
Patiently waiting for the letter.

Or just turn up the idle a tad.

It would be nice if they would make it retroactive for all 1600's. I really haven't had a problem with it but doesn't mean I won't.

As for the 1600 the only time I have had a problem like that is when I had the idle to low trying to make it sound like a Harley even though I know it doesn't have good oil pressure at such a low idle so I agree with Bud 100% turn up the idle.

Just stop by my dealer today. He looked it up and said they were just notified today. My new ecu is ordered.

I had a cadillac years ago with a recall about engine stalling when slowing to a stop, and/or causing low speed unstable emission testing. Cadillac fixed the problem by speeding up the idle on ECU. From then on, the engine idled too fast and wanted to push the car while I was trying to stop it. I asked the dealer if I could have my old ECU and he smiled. I think he knew someone got shafted.

That's a good example of why I'm scared of what the fix may be.
