Rocky is back on the road again. The ecm came in today and I got my first real ride on this rebuild. And yes Mac it was a real rebuild, I put a new trans in while the cases were split.

This 1600 which I bought used had a bearing go bad. The ball bearing which the 3-4-5 or output shaft rides on disintegrated.

Once I got the cases split I found a rube golberg contraption inside. The left case was trash-fubar.

So after mating the left 1500 case with the right 1600 case all was well. New rings and freshened the heads up on the top end as well as new bearings and trans in the bottom.

Wow what a F'n difference. Smooth as silk compared to the HD like vibrator it had become.

Any way I am currently at this minute happy.

I call it Rocky because like the creature of the night it was built by a madman for his own personal pleasure.

Thats great that its all up and running, its quite a chore to pull one of those motors apart and back together. There are all kinds of little parts that can cause problems if you forget something.
