What's a good way to mount a power outlet on the handlebars?
I bought a digital voltmeter to plug into it and need to mount the power outlet.
thanks,
Bob

Go on Gadgets sight, there is a article there that shows how to do it. There is a nice chrome unit available that clamps to the bars, but its a little pricey.

I bought one on Ebay from a retailer in Florida. I used a 1" conduit clamp to mount it between my risers. Worked out great.

Couldn't tell from your picture if you have a windshield or not? I picked up a power outlet from Wal-Mart and attached it to the outer bolt on the windshield on the left side of the bike.

Here is what I did for less than $20. I used an outlet from the auto parts store ($5), a bicycle grip, the chrome cap end of the stock grip and a red cable tie. It is mounted on a windshield bolt, behind the horizontal chrome strip.

That's what I was thinking, mounting it to a windshield mount bolt. I have a outlet from walmart with the spring loaded cap to keep water out.
Thanks,

I got my outlet from WalMart.I found it among the boating accessories and it is waterproof.I used the bracket that came with it to mount to the left side of the windshield using one of the windshield screws.I wired it to the accessory plug inside the headlight shell.I use it to power my GPS.

I wanted two plugs mounted on my handle bar between the risers. One to charge my cell phone and the other to power my cheap Tom Tom. I bought two with a plastic plug cover. I attached them by criss crossing two black plastic zip ties to each one. Works great for me.. I admit to being cheap and lazy.
