Who has wired these on their ride? I am working to get the tach installed and it reads low RPMs. I did Gadgets ohm-diode trick and hit both coils and then the tach won't read at all. I am working this on my 900 Custom, single fire.

If you wired the HD voltmeter, did it only have a positive and ground? I have that working OK, but get no light. I either have a bulb out, or there is a tab broke off for the LED power.

I checked out the back of the volt meter, I thought it may have a LED tucked inside, but believe that a bulb plugs in, and that bulb is missing.

The voltmeter sounds like you have it wired properly, and most likely you have an instrument bulb out in that gauge.
The tach may not work properly on the Vulcan ignition, since it fires every stroke, rather than once on each cylinder. Perhaps someone else here has connected a HD tach on a Vulcan successfully.

Thanks I got it all figured out. Gadgets page has the diodes backwards which was the problem with the tach. Reversed them and it works great now. The voltmeter needed a bulb, not additional wiring. I found a simple bulb with two wires, put it through the hole and tapped into hot and ground. It is working but light is white vs tach light of amber. Other than that, it is all wired up. If anyone does this on a single fire ignition, follow this how to:

Thanks cocheese, that might come in handy sometime. :)
