I just found this article for a Mustang seat for the Nomad/Voyager. I thought there might be some interest out there. :)

Is the stock seat bad enough such that it needs to be replaced? The 1600 had a crappy stock seat. Is it the same with the Voyager?

Stk seat is very good. Aftermarket seat would have to be incredible to warrant any thought on buying one imho. Other opinions will vary.

Stock seat on the Voyager is very good, I've ridden 600 miles in one day with no problems. this stock seat is way better than the stock seat is on the 1600. IMO.

I've ridden over 14 hours and 1200kms in one day on my Nomad and my backside was ready for more. Best seat I've ever sat upon! And stock no less!

Hear, hear....I agree 100%. After 7000 miles of comfort I wouldn't ever buy any after market saddle unless it was Kawi's Gel Saddle......just wondering how it might feel with some gel in it? ;)

I, have a 1700 Nomad but the seat is the same as on the Voyager. I, agree with the rest. This seat is the best stock seat I have ever had. Hope you are doing OK Ponch and that you get a bike you can be comfortable on. What was that seat you had on your bike at the NS rally this year.

I, have a 1700 Nomad but the seat is the same as on the Voyager. I, agree with the rest. This seat is the best stock seat I have ever had. Hope you are doing OK Ponch and that you get a bike you can be comfortable on. What was that seat you had on your bike at the NS rally this year.

I agree, the stock seat on the '09/-10 Nomad is the best OEM seat made, to date. However I went ahead and got a Mustang seat because the stock seat had me positioned too close to the handlebars. Otherwise, I'd have to agree, Kawasaki did good on this one.

Mustangs generally put you closer. Corbins away.


I agree, the stock seat on the '09/-10 Nomad is the best OEM seat made, to date. However I went ahead and got a Mustang seat because the stock seat had me positioned too close to the handlebars. Otherwise, I'd have to agree, Kawasaki did good on this one.

For some reason this one seems to put me a tad farther away from the bars. Fortunately the back rest is adjustable and I can get it in just the right position.
