Rear..airshocks..alternative...?

I wonder..because I don't like the stock.
I would like to replace them by something better.
Any ideas..experiences and tips for other shocks?

I replaced my original air shocks with Progressive 440 shocks. I could never get the OEM shocks adjusted to suit me, regardless if it was for solo or two-up riding.

I used a shorter length in order to lower my Nomad a little. The link below may help with some of your questions. I purchased mine from Amazon if I remember correctly.

I purchased mine 3 or 4 years ago...maybe on e-bay or Amazon. I remember paying close to $350US, they aren't cheap but they are quality. I prefer these over stock. The 440 Progressive is oil based, not air.

I upgraded ( not by choice) to Progressive 416's. Right shock puked oil out 2 days before Warranty was up - then 6 months later left shock lost valving, causing bike to act like it was alwasy driving on tar strips, very annoying. With 416's bike doesn't bottom out like it did before, the ride is good except when hitting very large potholes and cracks and then it is very firm. However, much better than the Pogo stick shock from Kawi!

That's abit confusing to me..I have the same problem with the
stockshocks..they bottom out.every time there's some obstacle.
Oilseal at the right side is bleeding.
I have to do something about it.
But now you made me doubt which way to go.

Sometimes you can find Progressive shocks on Ebay, Id go with the 440's myself. Ive never heard of any problems with them.
