I'm getting ready to use Sea Foam with my next fill - up. The directions on the can call for 1 oz. per gallon. Is that the mixture that ya'll have been using? Thanks in advance for your advice.

It's like reading the Little League rule book. Don't read anything into it that isn't there. 1 oz. per gallon means just that....nothing more....nothing less. It's also a good idea to run all that gas through after adding the Seafoam before re-fueling and diluting the mixture....

Thats rightt, 4-5 oz in a full tank will do the job, if its the first time using Seafoam in the bike you can repeat it a second time.
Usually 3-4 times a season is all you need to do once your on a regular schedule.
Check the tech boards as well, on cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner, it makes a big difference in fuel mileage and a smooth idle.

I clean the throttle body and use it at every oil change. I clean the throttle body as often as I can when I have time.

Sound advice from all. I use almost 6 ounces when I fill up the 5.3 gallon tank. I use it about every fifth fill up.

Stuff works good - I dump a small amount in the oil every couple of oil changes - I got a lifter that likes to bleed down and it usually smartens it up.

The way I like to get it done on apx once each 3 months is to add a full amount to less than 1/2 tank. I do this the night before i will go fill up. I straddle the bike after dumping the stuff in and waggle the bike pretty hard to mix it it in. Then i go ride no less than 8 miles, to get it in the lines and into the combustion chamber hard up.
Then park as normal, and let the stuff fume up in the combustion chambers over night. When I get the gas the mix is about right for cleaning the lines, pump and injectors.
In late fall I use the stuff in a different way. In NH there is hard winter, so the bike gets stored over that time. Then just before my last ride of the season I pull one plug from each cly and add 1/2 ounce to each plug hole, and leave the plug in loose over night.
The next day I place a rag at each plug hole, using the welled plug holes is better, and crank the engine over about 10 beats. The rags contain the mess, and there will be a black goo ball mess.
Re-install the plugs and go ride. I ride then till my last day out and then pull the same plugs and fog the engine's combustion chambers, crank the bike with rags again and fog again, leaving the plugs in but loose and no wires on them, so I can't forget in Spring.
That is just a little of what winter storage is for me. That topic will be back soon enough.

unwind me to, with a bottle, just a drop more, and then another little drop, and another one, last leedle drop, until I run out of ways to spell. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif The jug will be about gone too.

How much (OZs) do you mix in with the oil?

There is no reason to add seafoam to motorcycle oil, don't.
