When I was in SD a few weeks ago the roads were pretty good. A lot of LEOs were out in WY, CO, and SD and the speed limits were being enforced. Obviously trying to increase their budgets. Tourists seemed a little more stupid and crossing the center line on corners frequently.

The major concern is going to be the weather, it has been a little odd this year. When I was there in June and part of July there were storms every day. Mostly afternoon showers, however there were some real nasty ones in various sections of the Black Hills and east of Rapid City. Lately they have had some really bad hail storms. Keep a real close eye on it, better to pull over wait than get into something that you will regret.

Hope you have a good ride, the Hills and surrounding area were nice and green when I was there.
