Well after reading many of your threads on the Avon cobras, had a set installed today. Put a 150 miles on them today and all seems well. One question, does anyone run nitrogen in them ? and what are you thoughts on nitrogen vs air

Air is free. A good tire pressure guage is not expensive, and is your friend.

Nitrogen is a waste of money for an application like this. The air we all breathe is nearly 80% nitrogen, anyway. What's that extra 20% going to get you? Unless the shop has a vacuum pump to completely evacuate the tires of ambient air, you aren't going to end up with pure nitrogen anyway. Save your money and buy a couple extra tanks of gas.

As others have said, I don't think nitrogen is worth the extra expense. Especially in a motorcycle tire, I don't think there's any real benefit.

The guy that installed my rear tire ask me if I wanted nitrogen, and said it would be $5.00 per tire. All it does is keep the air pressure from leaking down. If you add it don't check your tires because the first time you do the nitrogen is gone. I told him I would pass as I don't mind checking my tire pressure. As far as I know that is all that the nitrogen does, just keeps the pressure up in your tires.

Nogiggy, you demonstrated great judgement purchased the Avons on our suggestion, but if somebody comes to you with a song and dance like Alabama just told. GET ON YOU NOMAD AND HAUL A$$ WHILE YOU STILL HAVE ONE! And when I say one I'm not referring to your Nomad.
