I assume you will be smoking these while admiring your Nomad, which is of course how this is Nomad related....good thinking BD! I am partial to a good Macanudo Portofino, but that was not one of my potential choices.... http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif! I love a good sweet Carbonell on occasion as well.... http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif!

As CJ continues to hop from bed to bed in search of love.. ::)
There are those grape flavored Swisher Sweets. Yep.
Although I voted for Fuente....I prefer the Clintonello. Smooth and satisfying, even in the oval office.
BTW BD....what's the next poll on your "talk about anything but a Nomad" list? http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Kool Filter King in the soft pack works for me. If I were buying a cigar it would have to be something in the nickel or dime price range. Guess I can't find any of those anymore.

It's a BS poll BD... There is no "all of the above" option. What kind of one sided liberal poll are you running here?
I should be able to vote for the arturo and the cohiba.

I think the $.10 cigar disappeared with prohibition, Gene.

Brad, to really make this a true poll, buy a selection of each and ship one of each to everyone and then we can really make an informed decision. ;)

A childish question.
With childish answers .
Cuban cigars are the best in the world.
Don't you know that?
What's the point?
Come up with some better story.
Or..just bugger off.

Jandijkraffenheimen. don't take it so hard.... BTW Cuban cigars are not the best in the world. Of all cigars made in Cuba only a few brands are really good quality. The best chance of getting a good cigar consistantly is from Nicaragua.
Unless one has a good connection at the finer hotels and restaurants getting the quality Cubans is hard to come by.

Nope Brad, not related to the idiot.
See, what you are wanting is a consumer preference poll. Now if people haven't had a particular cigar then how can they make an informed decision on which is better.
This is just like some of those deals where they send you 2 or 3 types of detergent and ask you to make an informed opinion of which of the three was better. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Brad, Brad. You need to explain yourself better. Nowhere in the original post did you say experience. Darn people who are from California and wear silk shirts can't explain their questions better. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Now for experience, the Montecristo is a good one. Have smoked a couple that are better but I can't remember the name and at $30 a cigar they are a treat.

All the brands you have on the poll are good cigars. IMO of the ones listed you can't buy a bad Upmann. It's a good medium smoke with a near perfect burn. The ABC liquor here in Florida sell tubes called Monarchs, about 7 bucks so you don't have to buy a box to taste them. Romeo and Juliet are similarly good.
If you want a bad ass medium to full flavor smoke try El Rey Del Mundo (Honduras). Very Cubanlike. I find Hondurans in general are more cubanlike if that's a word.
Don't waste your money on Macanudos (way overrated). Just one man's opinion.
I buy from JR Cigars online. You can get some good deals on 5 packs of the brands you suggested in the poll and try them out without commiting to a box of 20. I also like Sancho Panza and they are very reasonable
Good luck,
eggman

Hey BD if I get back to Long Beach like I plan I hope you take me on one of your favorite rides and I'll bring the stogies and buy the drinks.
A good Guiness or a black and tan is my preference.

I havn't tried any of the ones on your poll, but yesterday a member gave me a Macanudo Hampton Court, at the rally, and it was excellent. It was very smooth right to the end. Ive tried a couple Macanudo's recently and they are becoming one of my favorites. I really like a lot of the Dominican ones lately.
I have the Monte's, Romeo Y Julieta, and some Cohibas but they are the Cubans. Ive found a lot of the Monte's are rolled too tight with a poor draw, but when you get a good one they are excellent. And they are very expensive here.
I just got back from the rally and now have a great selection in the humidor, came home with a great assortment of about 220 sticks. I got some Ghurkas, Rocky Patels, Punch, Flor De Oliva, 5 Vegas, and others. Im all set for a few months.
I doubt you have a bad stick in your choices, but Id try one youve never had before. Go to Cigars Intl. and see what they have in an assortment. They have some good prices.
