We all get out and ride on our weekend, whether it's Sat/Sun or Tue/Wed. How much do you ride for your fun? This weekend I did over 1,000 miles riding up to Rolla, MO by the direct route then came back by a more scenic route through Arkansas and OK. Even though I was exhausted today, the riding was great.

So, how far did you ride?

From my hometown to the north of France is about 300 miles and that's it for me per day.
My back hurts like hell after that...stock seat...
A 1000 miles a weekend is a lot to cover..no doubt.

574 miles this past weekend, spent Saturday night in the cool pines of Alpine, AZ.

On the way home last Sunday, our last fuel stop was in Payson, AZ about 100 miles from my house. I was with a bunch of guys from work and they all ride Harleys. One of the guys asked if we were going to stop again before we got to the city. I live about 20 miles further away than he does, so he was looking at a 70 mile ride to get home...and he wanted to stop and take a break. Sheesh!

What are you Cacjack...
One of those Harley haters?
Then why are you riding with them?
Maybe it's time to find another job to get rid of them.
Sheesh!

Didn't even look at the Nomad, but I did almost 10,000 miles in commercial airplanes hopping to various cities for work. Does that count? :)

We did about 350 miles Friday, but the fuel pump giving out cut the next two days riding down to one day and 250 more miles in a Hertz Nissan Titan truck with the Nomad in the back... :'(

Impressive

As I am retired, ever day is a weekend day. Monday was a 200 mile day.

Heavens no, I don't hate Harleys. One of my goals is to someday own an Ultra Classic. I just get frustrated with guys who will spend $20k on a motorcycle and not want to ride it.

Good old Rolla, MO....we've road up there several several times. Used to go to the Moto Guzzi dealer (Interstate Motorcycles) up there all the time when I had my moto guzzi. Nice guy we still drop in to say Hi.. Also, that's were I bought the trek...had spent the night in Rolla while having the guzzi serviced and went in a bicycle shop...got a good deal on a Trek from him and came back in the truck few weeks later to pick it up.
Lots of nice curvy mountain roads to ride around there. Esp nice riding thru the Mark Twain National Forrest area.

Hit some rain yesterday.
Knoxville on 441 through the GSMNP to the BRP to 276 to Waynesville.
209 out of Waynsville through Cove, Luck and Trust into Hotsprings.
Stopped for a cold one at Bobarossa near Del Rio on the way to Newport.
Then back to Knoxville via Dandridge.
About 350 miles with the side trips.

Heading up a twistie on 209 I dragged the floor board at the same time I hit some loose gravel at the same time a log truck came around the curve heading down hill.

I don't know what I would do without the occasional adrenalin rush.

Great ride.

Whether it was 100 miles or 2000, I'm proud of my Nomad brothers who actually put miles on their bikes instead of whining about the heat or staying at home just because they don't like to ride.

You guys are great!

I rode about 260 miles with my good friend Mike and his 2009 Nomad. We rode out from Memphis to hwy 104 in Milan and then took it south down to hwy 69. Hwy 104 was a great find for this part of TN and it reminded me of the Ozarks with lots of twisty properly banked turns. It was 100 outside but we took plenty of water breaks and had an awesome time. I cant wait to ride 104 again. The next time we go we are taking I-40 to 104 so we can ride it down and then back up for 2x the fun.

This past weekend was a 4 day event for me. Attended the N.E. Rally and put on over 1000 miles in 4 days. 280 miles up to Lake George NY; It rained about 2 hrs of the trip. Friday and Saturday were 225+ mile days with group rides for the 30 or so riders there. Then 280 miles back home. It was a weekend that will be hard to beat. Great riding; beautiful scenery; fantastic group of people; What more could anyone ask for? If you ever get a chance to ride in the Lake George area, by all means, go for it. And the NE Chapter of KawaNOW are a great group to ride with.

Just returned from my west coast ride. Started in S. Oregon, rode the Klamath
River Hwy to Eureka, north up the Calif and Oregon coasts to Astoria, Or, then the Cascade loop through the Cascade NP to Bellingham, Wa. Crossed Canadian border at Osoyoos . Rode north up the Fraser River Valley, then east to Banff/Jasper area. Was headed back to states and took another detour back north up to the Kootenai Lake area and rode a few ferries as I worked my way south again. Ended up in Seattle where I parked the bike for a month so and will return in Sept for more of the beautiful west coast and Cascade/Rockies. Just a hair under 4000 miles this leg, more to come this fall.

You guys in the west have the best riding! I would do it again in a heartbeat. Need to address a few maintenance issues then off again.
