V & H installation question

Hi, I'm installing my V&H Baggers and I'm putting on my right side muffler (616) front...Can someone tell me if the muffler clamp goes underneath the heat shield or over it? The clamp is touching the weld on the muffler can so that's as far as it will go without either going under or over the heat shield...Any info would be appreciated, thanks Jody

Under Dakota. It's kind of tough to get it under the shield. Make sure the heat shield hose clamp closest to the SS clamp is loose.
