The wife and I left Sat. 7/10 for a short weekend trip from Coeur d' Alene -to- Wallowa Lake State Park in Oregon (2nd trip with my trailer/hitch.. rode perfect). What a great area as you drop into Enterprise and see the mountains. The "bazillion" turns/twisties on Rattlesnake Ridge (WA Hwy129/OR Hwy3) are awesome. I'm definately going back in Aug. 20,21,22 for the Bronze MC Rally, and spend a little extra time riding around. PS> Camped next to some folks travelling from Pennsylvania on Harley-Davidson's , Sunday morning the guys 2004 Road King broke his Drive Belt... He was totally screwed! (It's a major ordeal to replace, ..have to remove the clutch, primary, starter, alternator.... and nobody has a belt with'in 500 miles). I did help him through some of my contacts to locate a HD Custom (gearheads) shop nearby to atleast get his bike trailered to a shop. As I smiled and waved, riding my Nomad.

We were in Joseph a few weeks ago and I highly recommend the burger at the Embers Brew House:

If they fix Road #39, we'll go there next year:

Ride safe.

Was this a little warm-up run for Kalispell Vinnie.... http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif?? Rattlesnake looks like a great ride for sure.....glad you had a good time. We're off for Vancouver Island late this week with only one riding partner, but it looks like great weather for the weekend! We're really looking forward to the run to Kalispell and seeing everyone....should be a wonderful week!

No wonder Chief Joseph resisted so hard to stay in his native Wallawa Valley... it's beautiful.
Kris, have a great ride up the island, it's still on my "to do" list, just can't swing it this year. I've been to Campbell River on a fishing trip, it was a lot of fun speeding along in those Boston Whalers they use. Best Regards.

P.S... did I mention that I averaged 36 mpg, 2-up, loaded and pulling my trailer. I was pretty happy with my fuel numbers.

I was down in Enterprise myself over that weekend.............the Volusia Riders had a ride. The Rattlesnake is a great ride. Did you stop a Boogans (sp) Oasis? They have good ice cream.
