After going through the stock seat, then modifying the stock seat, then gave up on that and purchased Strobe's Mustang seats with back rest. Though the Mustang seat was much better than the stock reworked, it was still not where I or the wife needed it to be. So, after emails with Charlie (Ballast) I ordered a Russell and the build day was the 8th of July. Not sure how long it takes to build then ship to my location in Stony Plain, but can't wait regardless. Have a nice weekend ride planned to Jasper/Banff with Operator and his wife once the seat arrives. Then Operator will use my Mustang seat while he sends his away to Russell. ( I should get a commission )

I'll let everyone know how the seat looks and feels once it's here.

Voyager, You made a very wise decision on the Russell seats. My wife and I have done a few 600+ mile days with no problems other than riding fatigue. No butt burn or pain. Check with Russell on what carrier they use to ship to Canada. UPS hit Strobe with a Custom's surcharge of over $124 when I shipped him my stock seats. Had I shipped them US postal, it would have been much, much less.

Please update us on how you like the Russell seat, Voyager, I have a Mustang and like you, I like it much better than stock, but it is not as comfortable as I hoped it would be on a long ride.

I just hate to be without my seat while its being redone... Voyager, you may be on to a side business renting out that Mustang seat while we order Russells.

Don't post too much shipping info on here.....we might rob the stagecoach ;)

I suspect you have found the right seat.

Good Luck!
