LOL Beezer! Cheap?! 57?! We watched the Barrett-Jackson auction and people are STILL paying stupid money for non-original cars.
I found a 59 locally, average paint, 350 motor, wrong wheels, fair chrome... and the price was 39K firm.
I just shook my head and walked off. After researching on Ecklers, It needed 5K in chrome replacment, new int, 5K - 7K for a re-strip and repaint, and I didn't even start pricing the motor.
Car was a good 20K driver IMO.

I'd like to buy one from a little old lady that kept it in a climate controlled barn if possible.

I have a 58 Edsel Pacer convertible, rusted out pretty badly, no transmission, engine disassembled, been on jack stands in my basement for the last 23 years. I'll let you have it for $2,000 delivered to your door. It will only take about $50,000 to restore it and then it might be worth a whopping $25,000! That's one reason it still sits there.
I have my eye on buying a 1991-1994 Corvette later this year. I've always wanted one and this particular model goes for 15,000 to about 18,000 average. Not bad.......found one in Indianapolis last week......sure wish I could get it........
Looking for a yellow one with black convertible top.
Hope you find a cheap 57, Beez.............If I run across one, I'll be sure to sound the horn..... http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
After getting a Vette, my plan is to buy a 2008 Mustang GT off of someone who can't afford it anymore. Garage will be full then.

Just sold a '91 with 3000 miles on it for $15K since I lost my Dad in April and Mom wasn't about to drive it. They bought it new. It wasn't a convertible.

Sorry to hear about your Dad......at 3,000 miles, that 91 sounded like a nice ride.

It was pretty. When they bought it I got to choose the color.

Nice looking car!
That's a very nice looking vette, Beez! And only 3,000 miles??? That's definately a nice vette.
The one I'm salivating over is going for $16,999.00 and has about 33,000 miles.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Well, if you call $16,000 to 18,000 expensive, then that's your prerogative.

I always liked yellow vettes along with Dano's yellow Nomad. To me yellow is a fun color like sunshine and blue skies.
I can't really explain why, but I love bright yellow on a vehicle. Maybe it's the sunshine color like you mention....don't know. All I know is I like it.

Hate to make this my first post but here's a site for those interested in Vettes:
http://www.corvetteforum.com/
Both the wife and I had '91's and they remain some of our favorites as they had the late C4 body with it being the last year for the L98.
Ride safe and often.
