Took the Nomad for a beer run today. The two of us weigh about 380 pounds (she's not fat) and we were pulling the trailer. The price was so good that we bought 4 cases of 16.9 ounce cans of beer. That works out to about 111 pounds of beer. Stuck the four cases in the trailer and headed home. No problem, but I did have to downshift a bit more than usual on the hills. The bike ran fine in 82 degrees air while using 87 octane fuel.

4 cases? I want to party with you, cowboy.

I like this kind of post. You know, the ones that end in drinking.

Where in Florida do you winter? I'm riding to your place at least a couple weekends to sample the brew!

Ells, all you need to do now, is find a way to refrigerate those bags to keep the beer/soda cold http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

TB, Nice touch putting that lid in the beer to protect it. What a sacrifice. Yer the MAN!

The beer is Fuller's London Pride. Apparently they use metric cans and convert to the American system for labeling, therefore 16.9 ounces (1/2 liter). The brew is excellent; dark, not much carbonation, and a real beer taste. Nothing like that sissy Lite beer.

I am in KY this summer, but intend to bring a few cases to FL to enjoy as I watch the crude come into the canal.

Somebody needs to do this with a 1700 so we finally get the definitive answer about the size and utility new saddlebag design! http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
