Left out early at around 5:15 to get an early start. Exactly 400 miles later I pulled in about 12:30, stopping twice for gas and once to eat lunch. Had a great time and loved meeting some new folks. Make sure when you make it home to post it on the forum. See ya

Glad to hear your home safe. I have been home for a while, reading all I missed while at the SC Rally. Everyone made it out this morning without trouble. Just waiting to hear everyone has made it home safe. Joe, keep us informed on how your wife is doing.

We are home also. Got here about 2:15 pm. Left Liz's bike on the trailer in the garage for now. I will do some looking for the problem tomorrow and if I can't find and fix it I will haul it to the dealer Tuesday as they are not open on Mondays. Thanks everyone for all the help. Liz is now baby setting and I am going to bed for awhile.

I made it home at 1:30 this afternoon. I met a guy from Ohio at a rest area that was touring the country on his new Voyager. I gave him a Kawanow card.

Thank goodness, we made it home safe, this time.
Our son also enjoyed the trip and was rightfully impressed with the Kawanow Group. He is eager to join in again.
Trip mentioned at the dinner, that the South Central Group has the largest gatherings. Clearly the success is the result of our tireless leaders and their spouses who work so deligently to ensure we have a good time.
I would also like to thank the ride leaders and tailgunners for their efforts.

It was a blast, as always, it was great to see old friends and make some new ones. Looking forward to seeing alot of you at Talimena, the plans are going into overdrive. Katy would like to say, it was absolutely wonderful to see everybody and for those that knew my Mom had passed away, thank you for the condolences it means alot. I loved making new friends as well as growing old friendships, and thanks to all the woman who helped to put my husband in his place, thank you thank you, see you at Talimena!

I got home just before 6pm. I spent the ride home touring north central Arkansas. I really enjoyed the rally and must say it was just what I needed. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and want to thank all those who worked so hard to organize everything. I would also like to thank everyone for their encouragement, information, and for helping us less experienced riders on the runs. I can't wait until I can make a run again.

We pulled in our driveway at 8:17 pm. 13 hrs and 7 minutes, 678 miles. Stopped for breakfast and lunch. Fueled up twice. Darlene and I had a great time. Great to see the old friends and meet new ones. Ray, thanks for joining us. It was good seeing you again. Teach them NC boys how to host and hold a great rally. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Thanks to Jim and Bea for organizing a great time and to Vic for mastering the BBQ again. Joe, I hope the wife heals up quickly. Katy, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Mom. I would have preferred telling you in person, but I wasn't aware. Prayers for strength and comfort for you and the family. Again, it was great seeing you all again. We had one heck of a time. ;) Almost forgot, it was fun watching the Champ (Jamie) eat the breakfast of champions. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
Laura (Precious Cargo) and myself made it home at 8:00pm back to Houston. We had a terrific time! Thanks to all those who put so much work into making the event such a success. Cooks were awsome!

Rayski home safe will post later doing this on my phone if it works and south central thanks for every thing
I aologize for not posting right when I got in yesterday, but once I got home, I had to run over to my son's house and watch my grandkids master a "Slip 'n Slide". http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif
I left ES yesterday morning about 6:25am and got home at 2:45pm. Running through the Pig Trail that early in the morning was a little bit chilly, but I'm not complaining. GPS says I put in a little over 1,400 miles on this trip. And what a trip it was!
Jim and Bea, you guys always put on an excellent rally....and for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Because of you two, the SC rally attendance has grown significantly and is a testiment to your hard work.
Mitch and Darlene, that gumbo was the best I've ever tasted (and I've been to New Orleans many times and tasted all kinds of gumbo). Thanks to both of your for your hard work for everyone at the rally.
Vic and Katie, my sympathies to you Katie on the loss of your mother. I wasn't aware, but if I had been, I would have told you at the rally. Vic, you just keep on being funny and ugly...OK?
My thanks to Jim and Liz -and- Jim and Annette for planning and executing the routes for us to ride. Arkansas sports some nice countryside to see and you guys did an excellent job planning and taking us through it.
To everyone, I appreciate all of you coming to the rally. I enjoyed seeing everyone...meeting new friends and seeing old ones. You guys are what makes KawaNOW what it is. I'm looking forward to getting together at Talihena later this year.
The girls and I had breakfast at the Smokehouse before heading out yesterday and took a liesurely trip down 71. I had forgoptten about all those "speed zone ahead" signs ::)
Overnighted in Carthage when the sun gave up the ghost; and
made it home this afternoon at about 4 having added 1790 miles on Lucille's odometer.
Thanks to all of you for making it a great Rally.
I made it home around 10:00 Sunday morning. My computer had a glitch and I just got it running again this evening. Debbie is doing much better now and even attended a meeting at school today. Thanks again to all my new friends who made this rally possible. I had a great time!
