I have done some research on the fairings cuz I am thinking of doing the same thing to my bike. I am leaning toward the Premeau since they deliver it painted to match the bike. The Quadzilla is very nice but too pricey for me. You can check out both farings from a link on the Gadget's Kawasaki Fix-it page under body work. Let me know what you think.

Good prices from this guy too. I too am looking at putting a nice bat wing/fairing on my ride. Maybe when we are all ready we can do a bulk buy and save $$$ if we can all agree on the same make??

Also has anyone put a fairing on their bike. I would like to know how much it changed the ride and handling.

I have the hd outer fairing only.I think it is alot better than the windshield. When in the wind it handles much better. I thought i would run it in cold wheather only but now i don't plan on takeing it off at all. If i knew i would like it so much i would have gotten the inner part too.

This guy put one on his nomad. I like his site when I had my shadow I got lots of tips from him.. Great minds think alike - it seems like lots of people go from the shadow to the nomad.

Should be pictures of my 06 with the Premuix Fairing / Lowers & Trunk on my personal info. Not a computer genius so adding them here may be a problem! http://s2.images.proboards.com/angry.gif:(" title=">:(" border="0"/> The steering is alittle heavier - not a big deal since I came from a 88 Venture- protection is good - the lowers do keep alot of heat in the riders area, but they do hold lots of stuff and appear to work well in the rain! The trunk is awesome, you have no idea how much storage you get!!!! Two full face helmets / one First gear jacket and a couple Camera's. Trunk rack works good with Kurakyn's rack bag. Oh, and I mention that most Harley Touring goodies fit on the Fairing & trunk?
Only bad thing is that Premuix is a bit interesting to deal with!!

Hey rewindgy - care to elaborate about Premeau being difficult?

Well, they are French Canadian and only one of them speaks English as far as I can tell. They are alittle slow returning calls or e-mails ( okay really slow). However they do get back to you and I got exactly what I ordered. Their shipping / tracking leaves a lot to be desired, order was broken up into 2 shipments and then they sent me the wrong Tracking number for the second shipment. And since they are slow in returning calls it took a while to get the right racking number, however the shipment was still on time. It was odd not being able to track it's progress. I got to talk to another guy from Edmonton, Alberta who only got part of his shipment and he was totally pissed!! I can't say if it was ever resolved, my best guess is it was - since I deal with Shipments & Carrier's a lot I know that no matter how prompt you are in getting stuff on the truck on time, the shipment will somehow get screwed up somewhere on it's journey!!

I have the Premeux fairing on my 02 and I love it , I bought the bike used and it came with it. It matches the bikes colors perfectly and handles really good, Stock HD windshield fits as do the HD air deflectors . It also has the matching lowers from Premeux and a HD beer box mounted on a Wompus rack. Other than the slow replies and deliverys , I have never heard anything bad about the quality of the products they sell. The newer fairings are made to accept 6.5" speakers whereas mine is 5.25"

Sorry guys. Been busy lately and missed the posts.
Todd, my backrest is a CWI and I love it. It also adds some chrome which is always good. Got it from Valueaccessories.com
Wolfman, I've got a set of Aeromach 4 inch pullback risers and
again, got them from valueaccessories.com They have a beefy
look I like better than the Phat's
