Don't like the idea of it. To me it would be too distracting.

Id like to try one first,I usually don't wear a full face helmet unless its cold outside, but I can see some advantages to having one especially for lane changes on the freeway.

Not real sure TC, I think in certain circumstances it could be beneficial.

Hoo boy. this is a good one. Seems intriguing but I can imagine getting fixated on the wrong image. I did read the description all the way through but if the rear image is generated from the back of the helmet then when you swing your head and eyes to the left the rear view image will swing to the right. While that might be handy for pulling into a busy traffic lane it could get confusing. may take some time to get used to.
It would be nice to see an actual review. I wonder if it could pass SNELL tests let alone the rigors of everyday rider abuse.
I think most of us have ridden for years using the traditional mirrors and are comfortable using them.
The only advantage of this helmet is being able to back into a spot without twisting around to see where you are. And hook up your trailer.
I could see these being purchased because they are unique.
I buy helmets for the protection. (I live in a state with a helmet law, I might as well get one that will work if it is needed) However, it is entirely possible that my state may require these helmets if a motorcyclist gets rear ended, sued by the rear ender, determined if they had seen the rear ender coming they could have moved out of the way. Rear ender wins the case, new state regulation.
I like my helmet and mirrors just fine!

I would get dizzy looking at it or get myself all turned around and end up riding down the road backward. http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

Now, why does that not surprise me, SWB? ;)
I like the idea, but it might be better if the image were somewhat transparent. Better yet, a camera mounted on the rear of the bike, and a small HUD or monitor in the helmet. That way, the image always shows the "behind the bike" no matter which way you turn your head.
And what is "homologated"? http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif ;)
