Ran across this website. Thought I'd post it as an FYI.

Frank I don't think I would rely on there info to much as we have a Pure station here in Sardis that they don't list and the first one on their list for Mississippi is in Batesville but it is a Shell station not a Pure and it has 10% ethanol

I don't think the Pure-Gas.org refers to the Pure Oil Company but rather to gas available without any ethanol.
That said, the list may not be totally accurate and they do recognize that.
Here's their statement on the first page of the site:
If you buy ethanol-free gas, and your station isn't listed here, please add it now! (State-by-state labeling requirements are listed at fuel-testers.com.) NOTE: If a station listed here no longer sells pure gas, please remove it (details->Update->Remove).
It sure is tough to find any gas without ethanol in it anymore. I wish I had a station close to me that had it.
I agree the list is probably not accurate. Every station here that I see has 10% ethanol. All of the stations in this area supposedly get their gas from the Exxon refinery here in Baton Rouge, or the shell refinery in Norco. I think Texaco has a refinery close to Mitch. So, in my mind, if they are all getting their gas from the same place, it all must have ethanol. Maybe illegals are smuggling ethanol free gas across the border, along with all the drugs. Ya think ? http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif http://s2.images.proboards.com/grin.gif

I only know of one station locally that has ethanol free gas and you have to pay about $.10 more per gallon for it.

Call me stupid but what's wrong with gas having a max of 10%ethanol? ??? ??? ??? ???
Most of them have closer to 4-5%
I use it in all my gas powered engine, from the chainsaw to my f150 and not to forget the nomad. :)

I have added the site to my favorites. It is better than the list I had before, which was no list at all. I do have a few stations close by that I can purchase ethanol free gas.

I showed the website to the station owner way out in Springfield, La., where I get my Eth free gas and he said he would add his store. There are several stations in Livingston Parish that have signs up stating no ethanol, but they are not on this list.
Thanks for your time

Call me stupid but what's wrong with gas having a max of 10%ethanol?
From personal experience, it stirs up (possible cleans out) old dirt that quick clogs fuel jets.
Goes bad more quickly.
Eats fuel lines in small engines. The local lawnmower, weekeater shop can attest to this.

And. . .ethanol, or any alcohol, has fewer BTU's per gallon than straight gasoline. What that means, is that you get less energy and fewer miles per gallon from gasoline that is diluted with ethanol.

Canadian Corn is probably better http://s2.images.proboards.com/tongue.gif and for the alcohol, have you tasted Canadian Beer compared to US? http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif that's probably the reason why I don't have any problem
