Got the Drifter back from checkup today. Now the fun begins. I got the Nomad like I want it so now it is time to buy stuff for the new toy.

I forgot that the Drifters had the 1500 egine, I kept thinking of only the 800's. Wow, I just got excited now. Once you get rid of those stock seats, they look great. I think there are several used metric bikes that could make good "bobber" projects. Your 1500 Drifter would/will make a great solo bike.

Looking good and lots of possibilities. The thing almost screams for some fringe on it somewhere...maybe down low on some mud flaps or off the floorboards. I'm not a huge fringe guy, but it looks good on those old classic styled bikes... http://s2.images.proboards.com/cool.gif!

Cliff, yeah they are a lot louder than I like. I emailed the guy I got it from in California and asked what kind of pipes they were as I wanted to quiet them. He said thats funny because if he hadn't sold it he was going to try to make it louder. http://s2.images.proboards.com/shocked.gif

Stan, windshield, tach, seat fringe,highway bars, stebel horn etc.

Kris, not a big fan of fringe. Will just put some on back of seat to cover that big gap between the seat and back fender.

Skeeter, I have car tires on my Fusion but I don't think I will ever have them on a bike. The tire on the drifter is smaller than the one on my Nomad.

Im not normally a big fan of fringe either, but Ive seen a few Indians and Drifters with it and it really seems to suit them well.
I love that old style classic look.
